Processing Gift Card

Gift cards provide a flexible way for your customers to purchase a gift for someone from your store, making it easy for them to share their love for your brand while also maintaining full freedom of choice for the recipient.

Gift cards also help to attract new customers. If the person has never heard of an online store, will receive a gift certificate, most likely he will refuse to use it. So, gift card also plays a promotional role.

One of the great moments to start promoting yourself within a gift card is holidays seasons. It is time when customers are eager to find something like this that will play a role of a present for people they care about.   1. Open page with 'Gift cards': 'Products' (Fig. 7.1 - [ 1 ]) > 'Gift cards' (Fig. 7.1 - [ 2 ]).
  2. To start work with cards click 'Start selling gift cards on my store' button (Fig. 7.1 - [ 3 ]).
  3. On opened page you could 'Edit gift cards products' (Fig. 7.2 - [ 4 ]), 'preview' gift card (Fig. 7.2 - [ 5 ]) and 'issue' new gift card (Fig. 7.2 - [ 6 ]).
  4. After clicking on 'Issue gift card' you'll get a modal window allowing to add a new card (Figure 7.3).
  5. You're allowed to change the card code (Fig. 7.3 - [ 7 ]).
  6. Set cart value (Fig. 7.3 - [ 8 ]).
  7. You can determine particular customers - who get current gift card (Fig. 7.3 - [ 9 ]).
  8. Set 'Expiry date' (Fig. 7.3 - [ 10 ]).
  9. Click 'Issue gift card' to activate the card (Fig. 7.3 - [ 11 ]).
